Who we are

FE Futures is a small family-run Tuition and Consultancy company established by Kevin Hamblin in 2024. Kevin has completed a successful career in the Further Education Sector including 23 years as a College CEO & Principal at one of the Country’s leading colleges.

Kevin is a committed educationalist with experience in most education settings from Primary to HE, Mainstream, Landbased, SEND and vocational specialisms. He is a unique position to provide a balanced independent analysis of a College strategic options in these extraordinarily difficult times for many institutions.

Kevin has a considerable track record in managing a complex organsiation across several locations, settings and sectors. He led Filton College from 2001 from a £9m college to a merged institution of £48m, following a Type A merger of Filton College and Stroud College to create South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS) in 2012.

Kevin also led a Multi Academy Trust with a SEND, University Technical College and Mainstream 11-16 school to bridge local needs, and acted as MD of the wholly owned subsidiary of SGS that developed a Science and Technology Park to respond to the lack of STEM provision in Gloucestershire.

A specialist in strategic management and change management, with a particular expertise in the Further Education sector, Kevin has a proven track record and an interest in identifying and implementing successful options including growth, retrenchment, merger and acquisition strategies to drive through efficiencies.

To cover the breadth of specialisms, FE Futures work with a number of Associate Experts in Estate Development, Project Management, Cost Surveying, Planning, and Finance to create a team-based service to a client under one single entity.
